JEDDAH, 5 September 2003 — Ay Sarap inspired by their Manager Ronald Mangua clinched the game from the struggling Al Safeer Darters in their match of the “14th JEDI/Giordano-Inter-Commercial Darts League” held at the Orient Pearl Seafood Restaurant in Jeddah.
Ay Sarap’s Darter headed by Zaldy Vicero, Francis, Zaldy and Roman lost against the team of Al Safeer led by Alfred Mique, Albert, Randy Quinagon and Jonathan Montessa. Albert Mique of Al Safeer Team finished the game on double 8.
In the Singles Event, Francis won over Caloy of Al Safeer 2-1, second match saw Roman of Ay Sarap edge Nato Lusanta of Al Safeer 2-1, in a revenge on the 3rd match, Quintin Baletin” (Al Safeer) toys with Zaldy Vicero (Ay Sarap) 2-1, in the fourth match Ruben Villamin of Ay Sarap outlasted Randy Quinagon (Al Safeer) 2-1, in the fifth match Andrew of Ay Sarap clinched the game from Albert Mique of Al Safeer 2-1 and in the last match — Erik of Ay Sarap was beaten by Jonathan Montessa of Al Safeer 1-2.
The Score at this juncture was 10 points for Ay Sarap and 10 points for the Al Safeer squad.
In the Doubles event, Mique/Nato of Al Safeer secured their match by hitting double 1 to end the match against Arman/Roman of Ay Sarap, while Francis/Ruben tandem of Ay Sarap clinched the match against Jonathan/Quintin of Al Safeer, and the same pair of Zaldy Vicero/Andrew of Ay Sarap grabbed the game from Albert/Randy (Al Safeer).
The final score ended up 14 points to Ay Sarap and 12 points for the Al Safeer Dart Team.
