JEDDAH, 12 September 2003 — Southpaw Cris Villavelez powered the SkyFreight Forwarders bowling team to the numero uno spot in the 4th week of the All Filipino Tenpin Bowling League (AFTBL), organized the Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Jeddah.

The league is being played at the Jeddah Lanes Bowling Center. Villavelez got an average of 223 when he posted a three game series scratch of 669. Villavelez had on lines of 222, 230 and 217.

Villavelez display helped the SkyFreight Forwarders to occupy the top spot, pushing the Dove Bar team to second spot.

The triumvirate of Danny de Guzman, Hero Garcia and Louie Bautista supported Villavelez by contributing a separate three game series of 565, 537 and 518.

The SkyFreight Forwarders garnered an overall team series handicap of 2835 pinfalls and sealed 31 points in last week’s action and compiled an overall points of 116 as of the 4th week.

The Cali Sparkling Drink team keglers collected 37 points through the games of Rally Zamora who rolled 203, 214 and 201 while Abet Sarte burned the lanes to score a series of 587.

Roger Abantas, Mao Orolfo and Igna Salgado had 539, 527 and 526. 35 points were registered by the Saudi Pearl Insurance and topscoring was Rey Beltran with 592 series.

Dante Calapatia and Rene Martinez followed Beltran with a series of 557 and 545. Angel Decena scored 543 series.

The Al-Hussaini & Co. (Seiko) mauled 33.5 points and at helm was Obie Ycasas with 559 points. Sam Ocampo and Hashim Guinomla fired 562 and 536. Vic Santos and Bien Hermosura rolled 515 and 510 points each.

The Lux Progress compiled 22 points and having the best series was Zaldy Parinas with 593. Jun Lasaga and Joe Flores sparkled 549 and 548 while the veteran Vhoi Ycong toppled 488 points. Chas Balisalisa scored 455 series. Other results: Picpa Pro (20), Tetra Pak (17), Gandour Yamama (16) and Dove Bar (15).
