JEDDAH, 26 September 2003 — Tournament Director Master Nestor C. Suliva of the FIMAA — Filipino International Martial Arts Association was instrumental in getting other martial arts club practitioners to participate in a test of skill and courage between some of the top martial arts fighters in the Kingdom.
Forthcoming event dubbed as “FIMAA Invitational Martial Arts Championships 2003” is scheduled to open on Oct. 10. Contests will begin from 4:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. The awarding ceremony will be on Oct. 17. The event is to be held at the Philippine Consulate premises along Al-Faisaliyah District.
About 30 different martial arts clubs have confirmed participation in this first martial arts showdown in the Kingdom.
Clubs from Makkah, Madinah, Taif, Rabigh, Yanbu, Abha, Khamis Mushait and Riyadh are also likely to take part.
