RIYADH, 3 October 2003 — After three months of stiff competition, the Power Brokers team of Felix Pacleb and Lito Hufana captured the highly coveted championship trophy in the ABC Category of the Association of Filipino Tennis Players (AFTP) held at the Al Yamama Hotel Sports Complex, Riyadh.
The Power Brokers grabbed the post through the support of Nilo Eugenio, Robert Drequito, Boni Joson, Mauro Lagramada, Nilo Kong, Al Manlapig, Jun Evangelista, Felino Bautista, Bob Fiel and Awel Osejo.
The efforts of the Aces & Faults helped them come in as the 1st runner-up.
Managed by Rey Beninsig and Rene Suarez the team has Edwin Cabilangan, Ernie Serrano, Roger Samain, Joe Aday, Ricky Marquez, Roy Repollo, Jake Olaguer, Alex Alviedo, and Cris Alviedo as members of the team.
The Lucky Shots team of Robert Romero and Dante Pozas remained 2nd runner-up and were supported by Zalch Zahrani, Omar Swaidan, Dan Castro, Thad Flores, Romy Peradilla, Arjay Suarez, Jimmy Isla, Mohd Serajuddin, Anjo Suarez, and Gener Marasigan.
Darkhorse Limvudocie group mentored by Ed Galvez and Herby Trazo landed as 3rd runner-up with Robert Angeles, Paul Pagulayan, Fidel Ulan, Steve Marcial, Erwin Abuan, Fred Ringor, Rene Andes, Lino Samaniego, John Mojica and Buddy Deuna being members of the group.
Other participating teams were Pace Setters, Awalnetters, Laguna Tennisters, Shotmakers, Eskan Patriots, Passing Shots, The Volleygators, SAIB Netbusters, Blockbusters, D’Patriot Builders, D’Friends, Tomahawk Bombers, DQ Hunks, RTC Royal Balls, Bankers, SACIR. RTC Hardcore, Kharabha, D’Genesis.
Special awards were given to the best doubles pair namely Gener Marasigan and Robert Romero, Dennis Laguio and Danny Francisco, Ruel Restor and Nilo Cabug.
