RIYADH, 9 October 2003 — The government will distribute SR3.37 billion among Saudi Electricity Company’s shareholders in the form of shares, Water and Electricity Minister Dr. Ghazi Al-Gosaibi announced on Monday. The amount was collected from subscribers in electricity surcharge. “The shares will be divided between the government and the remaining shareholders in accordance with their stake in the company at the time of merger,” he said.
