JEDDAH, 10 October 2003 — FAL and Mobi Fabric Softener bowling teams rolled a big round to emerge as the week’s best team performers. FAL emerged as the team of the week while Mobi Fabric Softener took the top spot in the Monday Night Bowling League chaired by Igna Salgdao.
The games are being played at the Jeddah Lanes Bowling Center. Mobi’s Val Magsino, Rally Zamora, Jun Pilipina, Abet Sarte and Igna Salgado posted 46 points that put them as the current league leaders. Magsino and Rally Zamora toppled a separate three game series scratch of 567 and 566. Fellow Pilipina, Sarte and Salgado, contributed a series of 563, 554 and 542. The Mobi Fabric Softener team keglers tallied an overall team series handicap of 2,792 points.
FAL team mentored by Edwin Ronquillo emerged as the team of the week by posting an overall team series handicap of 2,906 pinfalls and sealed 47 points.
The one-time 300 perfect holder, Joey Salvador and Edwin Ronquillo together with Jess Pineda supported Patayan by contributing a separate series of 599, 587 and 575. Randy Mata chipped-in with a 493 series. For Kapepin, Pangilinan posted a three game series scratch of 629, Eddie Tuico with a series of 575.
Kapepin generated an overall team series handicap of 2790 points. Cee Bee Aviation Co. produced 41 points with Lindo Villanueva with 593 points.
Tetra Pak registered 39 points with Goying Salazar (582), Ruben Medina (572) and Bonnie Garcia (566) leading the way. Rodell Ricafort and Rudy Valenzuela fired a series of 541 and 521. Tetra Pak garnered overall total team output of 2,784 points. Zuhair Fayez got 34 with Cris Villavelez who shot a series of 581. Rod Morales powered the SkyFreight Forwarders to 34 points by carding a series of 584.
The Falcons and the Thunderball team keglers recorded an identical 31 points and leading Falcon was Roger Daquioag with 594 points. Roger Abantas, Jun Lasaga and Rudy Punzalan had a series of 573, 548 and 508. Ed Labuac shared 488 series. For the Thunderball team, at helm was Majed Aslani (574), followed by Gareeb Abdullah (572), Jaffer Al Katiri (555) and Wadee Mohd. (474). A total team output of 2,708 was compiled by the Thunderball. The Insektos claimed 24 points. Nonie Yap and Benjie Cils added a series of 571 and 558. Zaldy Parinas and Arnold Alday shared a separate series of 498 and 459. Larry Santos and Nestor Casalme with separate series of 577 and 562 led Saudi Diyar. Jerry Valle had 517 series while Ted Benito and Resty Regio pinned down a series of 482 and 432. The Saudi Diyar went home with 24 points.
