RIYADH, 12 October 2003 — Saudi Arabia yesterday denied a report carried by Al-Quds newspaper and Al-Jazeera channel that Maj. Sultan Al-Nafeei, commander of the paratroops brigade, had received orders from the Saudi military command to move to the Iraqi city of Fallujah. “This report is totally baseless,” a Defense Ministry official said. The official reiterated that the Kingdom would not send any troops to Iraq unless asked to do so by a legitimate government.
