RIYADH, 12 October 2003 — A Pakistani trade delegation yesterday visited the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industries (CSCCI) here and held a meaningful dialogue for promoting trade between the two countries.
The Pak delegation is headed by Tariq Ikram, minister of state and chairman, Export Promotion Bureau.
Abdul Rahman Al-Jeraisy, president, CSCCI, chaired the meeting from Saudi Arabian side. It was agreed to set up a four-member technical committee for identifying areas of economic cooperation and enhancing volume of trade between the two brotherly countries.
An agreement was also reached between the CSCCI and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FPCCI).
After having various successful meetings with Saudi businessmen, it was decided that a Saudi delegation of SCCCI will visit Pakistan shortly and it was also agreed to have single country exhibitions.
The Pakistani delegation has representation from all the chambers of commerce and industries in Pakistan.
