The Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EPCCI) has launched a new website to improve its services. The organization hopes that chamber.org.sa will quickly become a primary interface between EPCCI and its members. The site offers information on investment opportunities, export opportunities and new inventions. It is also possible to check the date and time of any EPCCI event or training course and even enroll for the courses online.
The website has been designed to make life easier for EPCCI members, especially the small and medium-sized companies. Mechanisms are in place to allow members to update their corporate information so it is current at all times. In the future they will be able to pay certain fees online. The website is part of EPCCI’s strategy to use technology to reduce costs and improve efficiencies within the organization.
Researchers will be pleased to find a listing of EPCCI publications, including books and magazines. There are also sections for industrial maps of the Eastern Province, share prices and currency rates. Unfortunately, chamber.org.sa is only available in Arabic. If English were added, the site would become an effective means of outreach to businesses beyond the Arab world.
