RIYADH, 15 October 2003 — What began in July 11 as major charity drive of the Bicol Saro nin Riyadh (BSR) will culminate with a line-up of exciting activities at the Philippine Embassy on Friday. At 9 a.m., a free medical and dental consultation will open, and all Filipinos who need help are invited to avail themselves of the services.
A photo exhibition on “the Making of the Kingdomwide Search for Bb. Bicolandia 2003 will also be held, along with a food festival featuring the delicacies of the Bicol region in the mideastern Philippines.
A general assembly of members of BSR will be held in the afternoon, and at 6 p.m., the winners of the popularity contest will be announced and crowned.
The BSR, one of the most active and diligent Accredited Community Partners of the Philippine Embassy, has allocated part of the proceeds of the fund drive for its scholarship program and for distressed Filipinos in the Kingdom, among other projects.
