RIYADH, 19 October 2003 — The Kingdom has decided to establish independent women’s councils at the chambers of commerce to facilitate the work of Saudi businesswomen, according to Abdul Rahman Al-Jeraisy, chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The number of commercial licenses issued to women is estimated at more than 43,000.
