JEDDAH, 27 December 2003 — A four-member African gang robbed a jewelry shop in Manfouha on Thursday, Al-Jazirah reported. They broke into the shop at 4 a.m. after disengaging its warning system, Muhammad Al-Shahri, the owner of the shop, told the Arabic daily. The gang fled in a stolen car taking a bag of gold and jewelry worth SR1 million. “I saw two of them coming out of the shop while two others were waiting outside. When I told them to stop they threatened to kill me,” Al-Shahri said.
