RIYADH, 1 January 2004 — Some 10,000 secondary school graduates will be given special training under a military training program which begins on Feb. 21, according to Dr. Ibrahim Al-Nami, director of the program. He said the program will have three semesters. Military training will be given in the first semester while the remaining two will be devoted to training in computer science, electrical and mechanical technology and office management, he told a press conference. Applicants should hold a secondary education certificate and their age should not exceed 23 years. The trainees will receive a monthly stipend of SR600 to SR800.
