RIYADH, 12 January 2004 — Saudi Arabia has extradited to Rabat two Moroccan suspected militants in exchange for three Saudis jailed in Morocco, an Interior Ministry spokesman said. “Security forces today received three Saudi citizens convicted and jailed in Morocco on security-related charges,” the spokesman said. He named the three Saudis as Abdullah ibn Misfer Al-Ghamdi, Zuhair ibn Hilal Al-Thubaity and Hilal ibn Jaber Al-Aseeri, who were sentenced by a Casablanca court in February 2003 to varying jail terms for plotting attacks against Western targets in Morocco and the Strait of Gibraltar. The Moroccans extradited to Rabat were: Ali ibn Idris Al-Wazli and Muhammad ibn Muhammad Alwan.
