RIYADH, 22 January 2004 — Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, has ordered the separation of Filipina Siamese twins at King Abdul Aziz Medical City here at his personal expense, according to Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeea, executive director of health affairs at the National Guard. The twins, joined in the abdomen and pelvis, were born on Nov. 12 to a poor family in Barangay Obavo in Cebu Province. Al-Rabeea expressed his hope that the operation would be successful like the previous ones. The twins will arrive here today.
