RIYADH, 26 January 2004 — The Kingdom’s first private college of dentistry and pharmacy has announced that students, both Saudi and non-Saudi, applying for admission to the current semester will be eligible for a 20 percent discount in fees.
In a message on the occasion of India’s Republic Day, Dr. Ali R. Al-Shammary, one of the owners of the college, told Arab News that Indian, Pakistani and other expatriates from the Subcontinent now have the option to send their children to the college for dental and pharmacy studies at affordable fees.
“Many expatriates have to send their children home for higher studies in medicine and dentistry. Now they don’t have to. Moreover, their children can continue to study under direct parental supervision in Riyadh,” Dr. Al-Shammary said, adding that good students would also qualify for discounts in college fees.
The college, located on Airport Road near Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, has sections for male and female students. Highly qualified professors have been employed to conduct classes for which the medium of instruction is English.
