RIYADH, 27 January 2004 — The Dubai Committee for Investment and Tourism Development signed a contract with a Saudi company, Al-Sharq Investment Group for the establishment of a water park, Eqtisadiah reported. The value of the contract is 750 million dirhams. The manager of the Dubai Committee, Saeed Al-Muntafeq, and the owner of Al-Sharq Investment Group, Ali Al-Shihri, signed the contract. Al-Muntafeq said that the park would be a unique addition to Dubai and would attract many visitors. Al-Shihri said that this is his company’s biggest investment in Dubai. The project will include water gardens, resorts, water shows, a museum, restaurants and other features.
