RIYADH, 30 January 2004 — The first Manila Plaza Classified Dart Singles tourney opened with exciting matches at the Manila Plaza Commercial Center in Batha. This event is organized by the Expat Darters of Saudi Arabia (EDSA), a prime association of dart aficionados based in the capital city and sponsored by Manila Plaza through the backing support of Ghassan Attiya, the general manager.
The opening ceremony was highlighted by the inspirational remarks of Sheikh Omar Al Hafiz, manager of the Cooperative Office for Call and Guidance in Batha, his deputy Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Hassan, Yousuf Butokan, Vice Consul Jun Ysrael of the Philippine Embassy and Ghassan Attiya, general manager of Manila Plaza.
Tournament director Dado Corpuz elaborated the tournament guidelines assisted by Lino Leonardo. EDSA President, Romy Galvez closed the ceremony by thanking the individuals that are behind the organizing and sponsorship of the league.
