JEDDAH, 6 February 2004 — Nestle Milo, Nader Toor, SGB Baroom and Babar Toor are the four teams left in fray in the semifinals of the Arab News Under-19 cricket tournament organized by Jeddah Cricket League.

Though talent abounded in the earlier round clashes, the more balanced teams qualified.

The case in point is the talent-laden UMA team that could not win a seat in the final four.

This was largely due to the individual brilliance not being harnessed under team spirit. It is not only the contest that has proven to be a draw, but the parents of the young boys too have taken a special interest in the event.

They have applauded Arab News and JCL for organizing this tournament and helping the young boys stay occupied while also providing an outlet for them to stay fit and healthier.

The event has caught the imagination of many parents, and along with the under 19 boys, who could not field a team in the eight-team event, have been requesting the JCL to consider holding the tournament for the whole season.Meanwhile, the winners of the first and second semifinals will play the final on Thursday (19/02/2004) at Mahmood Saeed Grounds.
