RIYADH, 11 February 2004 — Dr. Azzam M. Al-Dakhil has been appointed the new managing director of Saudi Research & Publishing Company (SRPC). The appointment was made by Prince Faisal ibn Salman, chairman of the Saudi Research & Marketing Group (SRMG).
Dr. Al-Dakhil replaces Dr. Abdul Aziz Jazzar, “who will continue to cooperate with the group in other areas,” a company statement said.
Prince Faisal extended his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Jazzar for his efforts during his time as the company’s managing director.
The new SRPC managing director has wide experience in the administrative field, the statement said. He held a number of responsible positions in both the public and private sectors before joining the group as director general of Saudi Distribution Company (SDC).
Dr. Al-Dakhil will continue to manage SDC while in his new post as SRPC’s managing director, the statement said.
SRPC is the publisher of Arab News, Asharq Al-Awsat, Al-Eqtisadiah and a dozen other publications.
