RIYADH, 13 February 2004 — It was a “do or die” situation for the Warriors when they faced the Eagles in the elimination round of the “WEMOWA Unity Cup 1424” last Friday at the White Palace. But the Eagles refused to succumb to the pressure and in the end sent the Warriors out of the tournament with only 1 win in the tourney.
Warriors Pat Astih’s three pointers was silenced by the tight defense of the Eagles thus eliminating a major hurdle in their victory with the score of 60-51.
The second game of the elimination saw a rampaging Patriot thump the Villagers with the final scores at 60-51. A series of knockout games will be played before the semis begins which will determine the final cast of the semifinal round.
