DUBAI, 16 February 2004 — Assisting in the rebuilding Iraq “is a duty”, Humaid ibn Nasr Al-Owais, minister for electricity and water, UAE, said yesterday. The minister was speaking at a news conference after opening Middle East Electricity, the region’s leading exhibition for the industry. This year’s middle East Electricity exhibition, which runs until Wednesday, is underscored by local, regional and international efforts to give ordinary Iraqis power 24 hours a day.
