DUBAI, 18 February 2004 — A Malaysian research and development organization, InventQjaya, announced at the Middle East Electricity exhibition here that it will set up its local headquarters in Dubai to broaden its “Power for the Powerless” program in the region.

Dr. Sadeq Faris, chairman and CEO, said the objective of the humanitarian-based program was to collect and distribute energy donations and contributions to help those without energy.

InventQjaya, one of 700 exhibitors from 43 countries at Middle East Electricity, is a joint venture between the Malaysian government and Reveo Inc. of the US.

The organization initiated its Power and Powerless program by donating one battery powered lighting systems to victims of the Bam earthquake in Iran.
