ALKHOBAR, 20 February 2004 — The Saudi Cycling Federation organized the 4th Saudi Cycling race in Alkhobar from “Half Moon” beach with the participation of 70 cyclists presenting 13 Saudi clubs with the support of Red Bull, the energy drink in the world.
The 70 cyclists competed in a track of 90 kilometers on day one starting Half Moon Beach, Al Aziziah Road, reaching the turnaround point at Prince Mohammed Entertainment City, and 20 kilometers on day 2 organized for the Individuals “Against Time “category starting Aziziah Road to Half Moon.
When the leading pack crossed the finish line in a sprint finish, the top three places went to Ahmad Ali Al Assiri, Issa Salman Al Shbeib and Aiman Hajji Al Hibrati randomly, whilst Abdul Aziz Al Shahrani was nominated 1st, Habib Salman Al Shbeib 2nd and Ali Abdo Al Assiri 3rd in the individuals.
Officials from the Saudi Cycling Federation presented the trophies, medals for the winners presented by the Youth Welfare Office in the Eastern Province in the under the auspices of the Youth Welfare Office Manager Ibrahim ibn Khalil ibn Abdullah.
