JUBAIL, 27 February 2004 — The Classic Cricket Club registered a 43 runs victory over Saudi Ready Mix in the 2nd semifinal of the Invitational Cricket Tournament (2003-2004) hosted by Royal Commission, Jubail, and sponsored by The Manso Group here.
Saudi Ready Mix scored 219 runs at the Royal Commission Ground here after gaining first strike. The Classic Cricket Club scored 262 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.
Mohammad Aslam of Classic Cricket Club was declared Man of the Match for remaining unbeaten with 112 runs.
T. S. Bajpai, senior vice president of the Manso Group and patron of the tournament, and Ali Al-Gartoon, chief organizer, manager SS Department of Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu were also present during the match.
The presentation ceremony was conducted by M. A. Ansari, director Poly Tech. The Man of the Match Trophy was presented to Mohammad Aslam by Bajpai.
The final will be played between the Manso Group & Classic Cricket Club.
