MUSCAT, 29 February 2004 — Oman and the emirate of Dubai are to set up a joint venture to own and manage passenger terminals to try to lure more cruise ships to the Gulf region, a senior official said yesterday. Tourism Ministry Undersecretary Mohsin ibn Khamis Al-Balushi told the Oman Daily Observer that a memorandum would be signed shortly to promote both destinations in the international cruise market.
