YANBU, 4 March 2004 — A 30-year-old man was assaulted in the emergency room at a hospital here this week after being arrested for stabbing his friend, causing serious chest injuries. The attacker then lost consciousness due to a drug he had taken and was taken to hospital by police. There, he started smashing up medical equipment and attacking staff. They and the police were able to subdue and handcuff him. Later, two unidentified assailants entered the hospital and began assaulting the man. As the two fled, medical staff took down their registration number of their vehicle. Police are investigating the case. They believe the two attackers are related to the suspect in hospital.
