JEDDAH, 5 March 2004 — The Islamic Economics Research Center at King Abdul Aziz University will hold a meeting on “Cooperative Health Insurance” on March 9, according to Sami Hanbadhadha, public relations chief at the university. He said experts would review the present situation of cooperative health insurance companies and their role in promoting economic development. Speakers include Dr. Abdullatif Al-Drees, assistant secretary-general of Health Insurance Council and Dr. Abdul Ilah Saati, director general of Saudi Insurance Company (Meethaq).
