RIYADH, 9 March 2004 — Educational Consultants India (Ed.CIL), an Indian government enterprise under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, is seeking admission of international students including foreign nationals, persons of Indian origin and non-resident Indians to all the National Institutes of Technology (formerly Regional Engineering Colleges) and other centrally funded institutions covered under the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme.

The criteria for admission to technical Institutions covered under the DASA scheme require 80 percent aggregate marks in the qualifying examination. Ed.CIL also has agreements with several other private institutions and universities in India for placement of international students.
