RIYADH, 10 March 2004 — Samba opened its first Islamic Services Branch in Makkah, reported Eqtisadiah. Samba Council Administration representative and executive chief for Shariah Monitoring Committee, Eisa Mohammad Al-Eisa, was present at the opening in addition to other well-known businessmen in Makkah. A Samba press release said that the branch offers all banking services to companies and individuals including current and saving accounts, Gold & Diamond Samba services, Samba services for women and insurance. Al-Eisa also confirmed that all services and developments are conducted under strict monitoring from the Shariah council and that the Makkah branch will serve as the model for other Islamic branches.
