DHAHRAN, 12 March 2004 — Firemen in Saudi Aramco were able to extinguish a blaze that erupted in an ethane extraction unit in one of the company’s gas production plants near Jubail. The company reported that the ethane plant was under maintenance when the fire started. The situation was brought under control in two hours. Early reports said four people were injured, two of them company employees and two from a contractor.
