RIYADH, 12 March 2004 - The Luzviminda 2256 tennisters of Herby Trazo and Fidel Ulan bagged for the second time the highly coveted AFTP-Tennis Masters Title, Division One Championship Crown recently held at the Al Yamama Hotel Tennis Courts, Riyadh.
The proud members of the Luzviminda team are Robert Angeles, Paul Pagulayan, Bernie De Castro, Eddie Galvez, Peter Manalo, Cho Ante, Fred Ringor, Darwin Suson and Lino Samaniego.
Lucky Shots team took the 1st Runner-up honors with team members Salah Al Zahrani, Omar Swaidan, Larry Barcelona, Arjay Suarez, Ruel Arroyo, Jess Butalid, Jorge Veranga, Anjo Suarez, Dante Pozas, Robert Romero, Gerry De Guzman and Mario Abrazaldo comprises the group.
The Power Brokers group of Felix Pacleb brought home the 2nd Runner-up post with members Robert Drequito, Nilo Eugenio, Ricky Banal, Oscar Adalla, Erwin Abuan, Al Manlapig, Manny Lector, Teofilo Evangelista, Danny Collantes, Donald Satrain and Ding Mauricio.
The Saudi Electric Company’s Power Haus HV managed by Godo Sarmiento got the 3rd Runner-up honors and was supported by Leo Malinao, Rey Bolocon, Clark Minoza, Thad Flores, Leo Barinan, Lito Ramirez, Ricky Marquez, Lando Nazareno, Gener Marasigan, Willie Nicolas and Richard Lanuza.
Other participating teams in this group were — Hammerhead, Desert Scorpions, The Volleygators, Aces & Faults, King Fahad Hospital, Vinnell Arabia, Pace Setters and the famous Metro Star Express Cargo.
The successful staging of this event was made possible by the Organizing and Technical Committee of the Association of Filipino Tennis Players in Riyadh and was supported by Metro Star Express door-to-door and sea cargo services, Hastek Marketing, Top Tennis Shop, DADORS Sports Wear of Eduard Dizon and Barrio Fiesta Restaurant through Ver Benosa.
