DAMMAM, 12 March 2004 — In the Swistar sponsored DCA League tournament played in Dammam Trico CC trashed Zamil Plastic CC. Trico hit a comfortable total of 181 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. Jayantha scored an unbeaten 59 and Rowan 36. Sarath captured 3 wickets. Zamil Plastic could not do much against excellent bowling from Trico and were all out for 93 runs. Madhura took 3, Jayantha and Rowan took 2 wickets each. Trico won by 88 runs.
Nawrella CC won against PC Cargo CC. Nawrella batted first and rode on Imran’s batting prowess to tally 155 for nine. Imran hit 95 and placed them at a strong position. Riznaff took 3 and Rizwan 2 wickets. In reply, PC Cargo also lost quick wickets and were 20 for 3. Rizwan and Silva stemmed the rot and shared a 45 runs partnership scoring 25 and 20 runs respectively. Ajith and Chaminda attempted to reach the target together scoring 35 runs but PC Cargo were out for 133 runs, losing the match by 22 runs. Imran took 5 wickets. Srilankan Sports Club won the toss and on batting first scored 139 for 7 in 20 overs against Friend XI CC. Jayanth scored 39 and Anura 28. Irfan took 2 wickets. Chasing the score, Friends XI were all out for 128 runs, losing the match by 11 runs. Farman scored 24 and Irfan 23. Arjuna took 4 and Chaya 3 wickets. Anak CC beat Falcon CC, who were shot out for 79. Soney scored 25. Kawar took 4 wickets. Anak marched to victory in just 10 overs.
Mazhar scored 32 and Khaja 25 not out as Anak won the match with 6 wickets.
