ABHA, 13 March 2004 — Preparations are well under way throughout the Kingdom in both the public and private health sectors to observe World Tuberculosis Day on March 24. The theme of this year’s celebration is, “Every breath counts — stop TB now.” Dr. Yacoub Al-Mazroei, assistant deputy minister for preventive medicine at the Health Ministry, stressed that all health care agencies should use the opportunity to make society aware of the inherent dangers of this disease.
