SANAA, 16 March 2004 — Sources in Yemen revealed that Saudi authorities handed over 25 kidnapped children to Yemen last week, Al-Watan reported. According to these sources, the kidnapping gang then put these children to work in the Kingdom. Some of the children identified their kidnappers. Yemeni forces have begun to hunt down child kidnapping rings in the country. According to Yemeni sources, the kidnapping cases sometimes happen with the collusion of families who want their children to work in neighboring countries and provide money to the parents.
