Mobile phone heavyweight Nokia has delivered the upgrade and expansion of STC’s GSM network in the Kingdom.
The move has expanded STC’s service coverage, capacity and quality for its GSM network to cope with massive demand during the recent Haj — one of the highest densities of mobile traffic in the world.
The upgrade and expansion covered the areas of Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat and provided increased capacity for more than two million pilgrims.
