JEDDAH, 17 March 2004 — The EuroFinance Trade, Treasury and Cash Management in the Middle East conference will be held on March 28 and 29 at the Grand Hyatt in Dubai. Its special Iraq focus aims to attract multinational and regional companies looking for advice on risk and opportunities in Iraq, according to a press statement.
The conference takes place under the patronage of Dr. Mohammed Khalfan ibn Khirbash, the UAE’s minister of state for finance and industry, who will speak about the harmonizing finance in the GCC.
“The conference will offer a variety of sessions aimed at treasurers and finance directors of companies concerned with finding optimal cash, trade and treasury strategies in order to grow their business,” the statement quoted Leslie Holstrom of EuroFinance as saying.
Topics will include worldwide developments that impact financial strategies, such as US legislation like the Patriot Act. Country sessions will focus on best practice for moving money and dealing with risk in countries including Saudi Arabia.
