RIYADH, 19 March 2004 — Mohammad Saleh Al-Barrak, the president of Arab Anti-Piracy Union, confirmed the implementation of a new system to uphold copyrights. The system will ensure the protection of the authors’ copyright and prevent violations of intellectual property rights. Al-Barrak stated that the Arab Union is considering other measures to fight piracy. Action will be coordinated with the governmental agencies to carry out the new policy.
