JEDDAH, 30 March 2004 — A Middle East education and training expo opens at the Jeddah International Exhibition and Convention Center today. According to German Consul General Dr. Stephan Keller, two representatives of the German Academic Exchange Service will give presentations on study opportunities in German universities.

King Abdul Aziz University President Professor Osama ibn Sadik Tayeb will open the Middle East Education and Training Exhibition and Symposium (MEETES ‘04).

A conference on education, training and employment by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry runs alongside the four-day event. Other topics include job opportunities and the role of training centers, and opportunities of employment for Saudi women.

Australia, Canada, Egypt, France, India, Lebanon, Malaysia, Switzerland, the UAE, the UK and the United States are making their presence felt alongside local institutions and universities.
