MANAMA, 30 March 2004 — The Bahrain Monetary Agency (BMA) announced yesterday its lifting of a “key restriction” on foreign insurance brokers and loss adjusters who no longer need a local partner to operate in the Gulf state. “They are no longer required to have a local partner, under a major move by the BMA to enhance market access and stimulate growth in the industry,” the BMA said in a statement.
