RIYADH, 16 April 2004 — Pin Rockers made a sizzling debut in the LS Monday Night Bowling League 4th Conference as they swept the second week honors at the Al Khozama Bowling Center here.

Pin Rockers emerged Team of the Week with an 11-5 points victory over another debuting team, Garnet Cargo, on total pinfalls of 3,631 and 3,465.

Fred Zacarias double the joy for the Pin Rockers by becoming the Bowler of the Week after shooting the high series of 849.

The third debutant of the week, Al Ameera Cargo International, snatched a thrilling 7-6 triumph over defending champion Missed Beat on total pinfalls of 3,530 and 3,519.

Opening week honoree So Much routed Pangasinan Strikers 9-2 on total pinfalls of 3,540-3,445 and RBC Patriots downed Vision 2 10-8 (3,659-3,639) in the other matches in the five-man team tournament sponsored by Garnet Cargo through Jojo Paciano and Hotel Al Khozama through sport center manager Saeed Al Zahrani.

Captained by Marc Corrales, Pin Rockers yielded just the second game with totals of 880, 940, 963 and 848, while Jojo Paciano’s Garnet Cargo tallied 758, 957, 943 and 807.

Frank Ranera fired 807 in support of Zacarias. The rest of the team output came from Ricky Bunao with 691, Mar Temama with 643 and Corrales with 641.

The Patriots made full use of the six they unleashed on the lanes with Pido Villarosa hitting the top score of 786.

Oscar Bernabe compiled 779 to go with the 714 by Fernie Ballano, 676 by Rod Tagaban, 374 by Benito Santos and 330 by skipper Jett Cabana.

The 11th team in the fold, Ramon Cruz’s Al Ameera Cargo drew 765 from Bernie Magbag, 750 from Vic Marzo, 673 from Mario Rosal, 651 from Roger Ortega and 561 from Donjie Mapalad.

FOBR, Khozama and ECR were the week’s bye teams. In a follow up to a big first week, So Much escaped defeat mainly on the efforts of Leo Mabunga, Vivian Cuevas and Roger Bautista with 781, 767 and 684 in that order.
