RIYADH, 18 April 2004 — The Director of Nursing at the Riyadh Armed Forces Hospital, Dr. Sabah Abu Zinadah, was elected chairwoman of the International Steering Committee for Nursing Regulations (ISCNR) at a recent meeting in Melbourne, Australia.
Some 170 member countries of the World Health Organization (WHO) attended the biennial conference sponsored by the Royal College of Nursing in Australia.
“I am deeply honored since this is the first time a Saudi nurse has attained this position in the nursing field,” Dr. Abu Zinadah told Arab News.
She said she was interested in developing regional networks and initiatives.
