JEDDAH, 20 April 2004 — Dr. Khaled Bakr, director general of Saudi Arabian Airlines, said Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, had directed there must be no increase in the prices of domestic flight tickets.
Dr. Bakr said a study was under way on the possibilities of decreasing the prices of air tickets on some domestic secotrs on certain days.
He said Prince Sultan, second deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, had ordered a committee formed to set the price policy for domestic transportation services, including air travel.
Dr. Bakr said the airline had made a profit of SR200 million during this Haj.
