DHAKA, 9 May 2004 — Former Bangladeshi President Badrudozza Chowdhury yesterday launched a political party called Bikolpo Dhara Bangladesh (Alternative Stream), dissolving a two-month-old caucus. Earlier, Chowdhury filed a writ in the high court, seeking a court order to prevent the government from obstructing his party from holding meetings. He said the BDB would participate in two parliamentary by-elections in Dhaka-10 and Munshiganj-1 constituencies
