TAIF, 12 May 2004 — A Saudi has filed a complaint to the manager of health affairs in Taif after his wife experienced harassment by a government hospital employee, Madinah reported. The man said that his wife took their son to the hospital and the boy was admitted to the intensive care unit for more than 8 hours. The child wanted his mother beside him but the hospital employee asked her to leave the room. She tried to explain that her son wanted her beside him and she wanted to be there. When the child’s condition improved, she was taken to a normal hospital room. From the moment she entered the room, the hospital employee repeatedly phoned her. She alerted the hospital administration which traced the call to the employee. Officials have promised to punish the employee if he is guilty.
