RIYADH, 14 May 2004 — The Luzviminda Sportswear team of Roger Bajenting and Eric Penalosa continued their unbeatable run while the Symex Trane Co. group of Coach Yulo Torion regained their winning form during the 5th week of action of the Filipino Community Basketball League (FCBL) at the 8th Contracting Compound, Exit 12 Riyadh.
Luzviminda vs. Hapco Warriors (105-82): Rey Gelilio signaled the opening of the ballgame but his effort was quickly matched by Amos Sibe.
It was a close battle during the first canto with the quarter closing at 29-26 in the Sportswear team's favor.
The enormous struggle of Rey Gelilio, Ibno Abdulgafor, Fred Badawi, Zandro Herrera and Richard Hadlocon along with Roel Langit, Nathan Azupardo and Andrew Bustamante paid high dividends for the Luzviminda team to maintain their no-loss record.
Mike Carulasan, Amos Sibe, and Nante Balingbing topscored for the Hapco Warriors team managed by Ziad Kitattar.
Trane Co. vs. NCC (112-92): The Symex Trane Company group proved their supremacy against the National Consulting Center team of Gilbert Dinoso.
Once again, Peter Hernando and Robert de Castro confirmed their merits after finishing with 67 combined points ably assisted by Angel Fabro, Edwin Tayag and Ness Ibanez.
The NCC frontliners Bryan Cagas, Danny Bugayong, Junnel Modelo, Mark Fernando, Mike Mendoza.
And Ernie Romano stood out but found their efforts were 20 points short, as the Trane boyz won handily.
