For a sumptuous iftar or sahoor, Le Jeddah Meridien offers buffets that appeal to all the senses. Located on Jeddah’s main artery, the Madinah Road, Le Meridien has three restaurants: La Brasserie, the Tea Room and Texan for a range of international food. Tomato and Mozzarella Salad

(4 persons)

200 gr mozzarella cheese

4 tomatoes

Oregano

Olive oil

Basil leaves for decoration

1.Slice the cheese and tomatoes and place in a plate.

2.Mix the olive oil, salt and pepper, and oregano and drizzle over the cheese and tomatoes.

Cream of Tomato Soup

(4 persons)

2 tbs olive oil

2 kilo tomato

2 chopped medium onions

1 chopped celery

Chicken or vegetable broth

Salt and pepper

1.Cut the tomato in quarters and mix with the celery and onions in the olive oil.

2.Add the broth and let the mixture boil until the tomatoes are done.

3.Blend everything in the blender, strain and then add the cream.

Grilled Lamb Chops With Rosemary

(4 persons)

12 lamb chops

50 gr chopped rosemary

1/2 cup olive oil

salt and pepper

1/2 kilo zucchini cut lengthwise

1/2 kilo squash cut lengthwise

Sauce:

40 gr butter

40 gr flour

50 gr chopped rosemary

2 onions

Spices

1 cup meat broth

1. Marinate the lamb chops with the olive oil, salt and pepper and rosemary.

2. Grill the lamb chops on medium heat on both sides.

3. To prepare the sauce, mix the chopped onions with the butter until it is brown then add the rosemary, meat broth and let it boil until in condenses.

4. Boil the zucchini and squash and then fry them in olive oil. Wrap them with parsley sticks.
