JEDDAH, 2 November 2004 — Indian Consul General Ausaf Sayeed has urged former students of Indian International School Jeddah to take interest in its academic and other activities.
“You can contribute to further raise the standard of education by taking active interest in the school affairs and welfare of students,” he told members of the Ex-Students Indian School Society (EXISS) at its annual iftar party in Jeddah recently.
The event marked a reception in honor of the consul general and his wife Farah. “There are several alumni associations of colleges and universities, but they are mostly social bodies. EXISS, an organization by the students for the students, is indeed unique,” he said and appreciated the professional manner in which EXISS conducted itself. Rafiuddin Fazalbhoy, one of the oldest associates of the IISJ, was the guest of honor. IISJ’s acting Director E.K. Shafi, senior headmasters, teachers, and students were present.
