JEDDAH, 11 November 2004 — A television program named “Treasures of Heritage”, written by Hind Baghaffar and produced by ART, was presented at the world’s largest festival of Orientalists in San Francisco yesterday.
The program, which includes traditional wedding ceremonies in Najd, Hijaz and other parts of the Kingdom was previously shown in Arabic, Al-Watan reported.
“The program has been translated into English by Dr. Meesa Subaihi,” Baghaffar said. “We have included a number of songs and dances by young women to make the program more attractive,” she added.
The program won an award at Arab television festival held in Egypt recently.
