MOH: Pacific Assault (MOHPA) represents a unique addition to the award-winning Medal of Honor’s Franchise. MOHPA puts you in the boots of a World War 2 soldier in front of the Japanese assault. In this review, we’ll take a look at the graphics, game play, sounds and the multiplayer mode.

Graphics:

Electronic Arts (EA) did an excellent job in this section. You’ll be surprised to see grass reacting to bodies and sock waves, water to bullets or the heat effect from a heavy machine gun operating. Overall, high-resolution models, lighting affect and beautifully constructed rich environment. Score: 9/10

Sounds:

The music is supreme. EA hired a real orchestra to play the tracks and the results are very well done and help fit the somber mood most of the missions. Sound-effects from different guns and voice acting will make you feel you’re in the middle of a Hollywood action movie. No game yet can match MOHPA in this category. Score: 9/10

Game Play:

MOHPA campaign includes 7 vast missions across 25 levels from Pearl Harbor to Battle of Tarwara which promises 15 hour of action-packed game play. Players have access to over 21 World War II era weapons, including M1 Carbines, M1 Flamethrowers, Japanese rifles and the Type 100 submachine including new vehicles. New features are included such as call in artillery and air strikes against the enemy to save your squad, ordering your squad to attach or hold position and experience gained by your squad from battles, making them more efficient in fights. Score: 9.5/10

Multiplayer:

Over nine new multiplayer levels are included which are three times bigger than the original game. Players can choose to play in classic modes such as free for all, deathmatch, and objective based, or the new mode: Invader. In this realistic mode players must secure key points to achieve victory in a battle. Score: 9/10

To conclude, fans of Medal of Honor should pick up this game as it delivers action and pure entertainment. Together with a solid multiplayer experience, this game is going for a strong long shelf life. Overall Score: 9.1/10
